Way Design wins the Red Dot Award and exhibits in Germany

Essen, Germany (July 8, 2025) The 2025 Red Dot Award ceremony was grandly held at the Aalto Theatre in Essen, Germany, and was presided over by Professor Peter Zec, founder and CEO of the Red Dot Award. This year’s winners hailed from various countries around the world, including Germany, Sweden, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, and Brazil. Wei Wei, founder of Way Design, was invited to attend the award ceremony and the opening of the Winners’ Exhibition at the Red Dot Design Museum. Her project, Synaptic Medical, was honored with the Red Dot Award 2025 in the category of Interior Design and Architecture. The official jury statement praised her work: “The office space of Synaptic Medical perfectly combines spatial openness with minimalist design. It is highly functional while successfully creating an ideal working environment.”(Das Synaptic-Medical-Büro vereint räumliche Großzügigkeit und gestalterische Reduktion mit einer hohen Funktionalität für eine gelungene Arbeitsumgebung.

Way Design Wins Silver at the BETTER FUTURE European Design Awards

(Oct 3, 2024) Mark Bergin, Awards Chair and Founder of Better Future, announced that Way Design’s project, Synaptic Medical Cardiac Electrophysiology Factory, won the European Design Awards Silver. The project’s design architect is Wei Wei, and the project commissioner is Synaptic Medical, a cardiac electrophysiology research and manufacturing company headquartered in Carlsbad, California. The core mission of the prestigious international comprehensive design award, the Better Future Award, is to recognize and promote design-driven initiatives that address global challenges, enhance the quality of human life, and positively impact our shared future. The award emphasizes social value, humanistic care, environmental responsibility, and forward-thinking innovation, seeking design solutions that redefine living, support vulnerable populations, protect the planet, and embrace the future.

Way Design Wins Landscape Award at IFLA

Tokyo,Japan (November 17, 2023)  During the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) Landscape Design Awards Ceremony, Way Design’s project, Avenues Shenzhen Primary and Secondary School Landscape, received an Honorable Mention Award in the category of Cultural and Urban Landscape Built Projects and was exhibited. The International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA) is the leading global authority in the field of landscape architecture and design. It represents the landscape profession on international platforms such as the United Nations and UNESCO, highlighting the vital role of landscape design in addressing critical issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, sustainable urban development, and cultural heritage preservation.

Way Design Wins the Outstanding Designer Award, 2 Gold Awards and 1 Silver Award in AEEDA

Shanghai, P.R.China (June 16, 2023) During the Asia Educational Environment Design Awards (AEEDA) Ceremony, Way Design received the Outstanding Designer Award, 2 Gold Awards, and 1 Silver Award. Way Design’s founding partner Ms. Wei Wei won the AEEDA Outstanding Designer Award. Avenues Learning and Innovation Center won the Learning Space Design Gold Award. Avenues Shenzhen Primary and Secondary School Landscape won the Campus Landscape & Environment Design Gold Award. Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School won the Campus Building Design Silver Award.

The Asia Educational Environment Design Awards (AEEDA) recognize projects, groups, companies, and individuals that have influenced and driven the improvement of educational environments, facilities, and learning space innovations in the region. Through rigorous procedures and high-quality selection criteria, AEEDA will discover innovative and exemplary projects, outstanding designers, and enterprises, as well as high-quality equipment and technologies, and promote the continuous updating of educational facilities to adapt to future changes in education and learning methods. The Asia Educational Environment Design Awards are currently the only regional award for educational environment design in Asia.

Grand Jury Panel: The award jury members are all well-known and authoritative experts from the China mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan regions of China, Japan, Singapore, India, Australia, and the United States. The jury members specialize in architectural design, interior design, pedagogy, psychology, ergonomics, and other disciplines. They can objectively and fairly evaluate entries from multiple perspectives. Chairman of July Panel is Storu Nagasawa – Director at Japan Institute of Educational Environment and Honorary Professor at Toyo University. Vice Chairman of the Jury Panel includes Georg Pichler – Partner of HENN Architecture, Ron Vitale – China Director of Perkins Eastman, Chun Huang – Principal of Beijing No.4 Middle School etc.

Way Design Achieves an Outstanding Victory in TITAN Property Awards!

The United States (May 12, 2023) The TITAN Property Awards is thrilled to announce the winners for 2023, highlighting the progress of property excellence worldwide. Way Design successfully won the TITAN Platinum Award of Architecture- Best Flexibility Design, Gold Award of Architecture- Educational, Gold Award of Interior Design – Restaurants & Bars, Gold Award of Interior Design – Best Color Usage, Gold Award of Interior Design – Institutional / Educational, Gold Award of Landscape Design.

The TITAN Property Awards recognizes the highest levels of achievement in property development, interior design, architecture, landscape design, real estate and marketing, focusing on ergonomics, innovativeness, living standards, originality, and sustainability. The award has received over 1,800 entries from over 30 countries, including the United States, Philippines, China, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, Latvia, Singapore and more.

Grand Jury Panel The TITAN Property Awards expresses its pride in honoring the very best in property excellence, alongside a group of distinguished industry leaders to serve as honorary jurors for its latest season. Way Design Lands a Win in the 2023 MUSE Design Awards

New York, NY (Apr 14, 2023) The MUSE Creative and Design Awards have released their lists of winners for their competitive season of 2023. Hosted by the International Awards Associate (IAA), the competitions had received over 6,300 entries from across the globe, proving themselves to be leading award programs that honor creative and design professionals. For its 2023’s competitive season, Way Design lands the Platinum award in Restaurants & Bars Interior Design, Gold award in Institutional Architectural Design, Silver awards in Educational Interior Design & Institutional Landscape Design.

Grand Jury Panel:Out of the numerous applicants from 15 countries, the competition settled on 51 jurors. These highly-respected professionals are held in high esteem in their respective industries and are affiliated with renowned organizations in the creative and design industries. For example, President, North America at Clarity PR – Jon Meakin, Founder/CCO of Cutwater – Chuck McBride, VP, Brand & Creative Services of PubMatic, Inc. – Imelda Suriato, Associate Creative Director at McCann NY – Alexandre Kazuo Kubo, Group Creative Director at Ogilvy NY – Mohamed DiaaEldin Osman, Principal Architect and Landscape Architect at Studio Arth LLC – Rituparna Simlai, Senior Architect at Tiago do Vale Architects – Tiago do Vale, Director of DesignAware – Takbir Fatima, Founder, hcreates interior design – Hannah Churchill, Founder and Creative Director of IN.X Design – Wu Wei, to name a few. Other than employing industry-relevant standards in judging entries, impartiality was also enforced with the blind judging method. This meant that entries were evaluated by multiple judges without being compared with other submissions, meaning that each winning work had decisively won with their own merits.

Way Design is shortlisted for The Asia Educational Environment Design Awards

Shenzhen, P.R. China (April 20, 2023) The Asia Educational Environment Design Awards (AEEDA) have released their shortlists for their competitive season of 2022 – 2023. Way Design’s project Shenzhen Vanke Bilingual School has been shortlisted for Architectural Design Category, Avenues Learning Innovation Center has been shortlisted for Interior Design Category, and Avenues Shenzhen G1-G9 School Landscape has been shortlisted for Landscape Design Category. Way Design’s design partner Ms. Wei Wei has been nominated for the AEEDA Outstanding Designer Award. 

Our projects will be exhibited at “The 7th International Symposium on Planning and Design of Contemporary K-12 Education Buildings” in Shenzhen from March 31 to April 1, 2023. In addition, they will be exhibited at “The 2nd International Forum on Campus Planning and Facilities Design of Higher & Vocational Education and Award Ceremony” in Shanghai from June 16 to 17, 2023.
